Your shortlist isn't the market.
A market map is the research we do for one role: a count of the people who could do that job outside the market the client already searches.
It is not a candidate database or a list of names. It covers one role, it is dated, and it states what we could not measure on the same page. Below is an example map for one role, followed by our own placement record, which is real and counted.
The role the person does now, their years of experience, where they are, their language, what we know and what we do not. Every one ends with not contacted. A marker does not mean someone has applied, is available or is interested.
A name, a photograph, a current employer or a link. The map shows that a market exists outside your search. It is not a list of people you can buy.
The market the client already searches: here, Stuttgart. Grey squares are people inside it. Red squares are people outside it, whom that search would not reach.
One client. Twenty hires. Nine kinds of job. And twenty of our twenty-nine recorded placements.
These figures are counted from our placement record. They are real, and they are small.
Each square is one placement. Filled: the one client, across all four years. Outlined: the other seven companies, five of which appear once.

Companies are not named here. We do not put a client's name on a marketing page without asking them.
